Lyrical dance is a competition-style form that developed out of ballet and contemporary dance. The use of imagination is also encouraged by providing opportunities for free expressive movement. To share the love, magic and wonder of dance, scarves, tiaras, wands, bubbles and musical instruments are used. This was on Season 1 of the popular American dance show So You Think You Can Dance. There has only been one instance of lyrical being used in a professional setting.
